How Human Resource teams take you for granted

Hi there,

If you are a person who has been attending a lot of interviews then this is the post which you should read.

First i don’t understand why some HR people want to recruit when they finally say the profile or post has been put on hold? Why on earth do they want to waste their time and most important the time of the candidates. The answer is known only to the almighty god.

WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU: When we had training in our college they used to say these words meant that the interview was not successful and there was a strong chance that you would be rejected. Nine out of ten times this would happen. The HR would not call back.

Never rub the wrong side of any HR and that too if you are in bond the next question is do you want transfer? The next minute the employee would return to his seat.

Calling a sales person for a marketing job, a client account manager for a finance/accounts job have been the best goof ups made by these HR people.

Poaching: Some HRs know that the good resources are available in smaller companies and hence they have candidates from there and then throw the bombshell at them which is to join within 10 days. How on earth can some one do it? Isn’t he part of a company? Will the HR accept the same manner of quitting for his or her company?

All these companies who paint buses with the logo ” Best employer <year> blah blah” makes me feel that the process is rigged and if at all some organisation wanted to take a survey of the best employer then In india it would near impossible. Every single IT guy i have met till this date has been an irritated employee.

I don’t want to sound like a leftist but i feel labour laws are required in india to control the indian software industry. Right from companies that develop software to BPO there needs to be a law to end this nasty work culture. Imagine our people working on deepavali day for a double pay and what not. But when it is some holiday in the month of december our people here also given some leave.

There is no dearth of talent in this country and sadly many people are given the miss because of transparent policies and people are rejected based on some policies. Some one may not be good in communication but he can make a product with his code then why dont we select him?

High time small and medium sized companies come together and tackle this.
